“Growing up, I remember seeing my grandad coming home from long 12+ hour shifts working for the London Underground and my gran coming home, same hours, working as a nurse for the NHS.
They were and always will be my inspiration for dedication and resilience.”
I grew up in a Rastafarian home which was a blessing as it gave me a true sense of belonging, community, and steadfast values which I still hold to this day.
“Heading to Jamaica in my younger years allowed me to understand what it was to truly appreciate the privilege of not going without, however I was also exposed to the joy of living in simplicity.
When it comes to Caribbean culture, I have many loves- the food, the music and of course that laid back ‘everything will be alright’ subconscious ethos.”
