What is it like working for Arcadis? Why are they a great organisation to work for?
Arcadis is for you if you want to develop and make a difference. I’ve worked on interesting projects that challenged me and improved the quality of life; from modernising the Tube to delivering the best transport for the best Olympics, London 2012.
How have Arcadis supported your career? How has the organisation helped you be authentic at work?
I’ve had mentors and sponsors who have given me opportunities, backed my talent and shared the benefit of their experiences with me. I’m able to be me and share my heritage with colleagues.
Tell us about your role and how you got into it?
I studied Civil Engineering and worked as a designer before moving into project management. Now I build teams to manage complex infrastructure projects and provide advisory services for clients who own, operate or fund infrastructure assets.
What tips would you give someone looking for a career there?
We want people who are good at what they do, but who also enjoy what they do and are willing to learn and take on new ideas, new ways of doing things.
What are the key things Arcadis are doing to support their Ethnic Minority colleagues?
We’re eliminating bias in our recruitment processes and developing tailored progression support for ethnic minority colleagues. We’re continuing to develop our culture to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
