This programme is a full day workshop designed to give delegates the tools, knowledge and skills they need to own and drive their own career.  We invite delegates to imagine they are the CEO of their life as if it were a business, and from this perspective learn ways to formulate a concrete strategy for reaching their desired career goals.  By the end of this workshop, delegates will have created a high level plan for driving their career.  

Format:

A full day workshop designed for employees at any level. Maximum 20 participants per cohort. 

Morning focus on STRATEGY: Creating a high-level career road map  

• Define your purpose: What drives and motivates your career and why does it matter? 
• Hone your payoff: What is your ideal career destination and where do you want to be?
• Craft your process: How will you achieve your career goals?

Afternoon focus on TACTICS: Taking action 

• Identify barriers and build an allyship network for support.
• Develop SMART and HARD goals to break down your journey into actionable steps.
• Practice techniques for influencing upwards and making requests to get the resources support and opportunities you need for advancing your career

• Pre recorded Webinars for larger cohorts on a range of racial and ethnic inclusion topics, such as introduction to cultural awareness, introduction to race and allyship 
• Pre and post workshop questionnaires to measure learning impact. This can be designed in collaboration with your organisation. 
• Follow-up emails, articles, and check-ins to sustain learning. 
• Follow up workshops to zone in and give more time for delegates to discuss sensitive topics such as difficult conversations, managing conflict, dealing with change and transition, understanding privilege etc 
• ‘Train the Trainer’: These are programmes whereby internal employees are trained by IIE to deliver our training programmes. This is a long-term cost-effective option for organisations and avoids lengthy procurement processes.
