As a Black woman and Head of ED&I, I go beyond traditional diversity efforts to drive systemic and lasting change for ethnically diverse communities. Over the past 12 months, I have led ED&I strategies for 25 clients, achieving measurable diversity increases, including achieving 45% ethnic minority hires in one client’s early talent program. I designed Penna’s transformative ED&I model, shifting inclusion from a baseline to a catalyst for structural change, and developed a language analysis tool to eliminate cultural bias in recruitment. My work extends beyond my role. In 2024, I have delivered 14 webinars to 1,530+ participants, covering many topics, including allyship, social mobility, and hair discrimination, and spoken at 7 events and conferences like the Black Queer and Fabulous event. I have mentored Black talent through WOCGN and amplify underrepresented voices through my blog, Melanin and Rainbows.
