The fastest growing area of the Matrix has been data collection. We explore how organisations are successfully collecting data and using it and how reporting on your ethnicity pay gap has bolstered culture change.

Bola Adesina LG

Bola Adesina

Bola works as a Technologist and DEI Advocate in a career spanning over 20 years across public and private sectors. Since 2009, she has worked in various technology roles for LGIM while volunteering as co-chair of the company’s Ethnicity Network (Culture Club) and being an ally to other diversity workstreams like LGBT, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Gender, Socio-economic, Neurodiversity and others.

Through her passion for fostering and advocating for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion both within the workplace and in society, Bola worked as Global DEI Partner and is involved in several industry-led inclusion initiatives including the #TalkAboutBlack, the Diversity Project, the Investment Association.and the Black Women in Asset Management. She is an award-winning speaker on DEI, the future of work and represented LGIM on the Investment Association working group in collaboration with PwC and peer firms to launch the Diversity Data Collection Guide.

Bola holds a BSc. in Computer Science and an MBA from Warwick Business School for which she’s an Ambassador, Speaker, a WATC Rising Star Winner and HERoes 100 Women Future Leader. In her spare time, she mentors, enjoys watching Sports, playing Table Tennis, socialising and spending quality time with her family.

David Duewei BT

David is the People Reporting & Analytics Director at BT Group. Throughout his career, it has been his personal mission to bring out the best in people through the power of data and storytelling. With 15+ years in people analytics, his journey began in 2007 at Citigroup in New York where he spent 10 years building their people analytics function and subsequently moving to London to lead their Europe, Middle East, and Africa team. In 2017, he took an opportunity at Microsoft in London where he spent 5 years leading the people analytics team responsible for the global sales organization and Microsoft international covering over half the company’s employees.

Since joining BT Group in Oct 2022, his team have been on a mission to “connect insights for good” in support of BT’s ambition to be the world’s most trusted connector of people, devices and machines.

He holds an MS in Information Systems, a BA in Economics and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University, Bloomington in the United States.
