Accreditation Guidance

Congratulations for all those who have completed the Matrix, you will receive a formal notification of your accreditation level and a badge.

The Maturity Matrix has four levels: 

Level 1: Investing In Ethnicity Employer
Level 2: Star Employer
Level 3: Advanced Employer
Level 4: Exemplary Employer

Level 1: Employer
Organisations must achieve a score above 30 points to be rated an Investing in Ethnicity Employer.

Level 2: Star Employer
Star Employer Organisations must score between 60 and 89 points to be rated a Star Employer.

Level 3: Advanced Employer
Advanced Employer Organisations must score between 90 and 119 points to be rated an Advanced Employer.

Level 4: Exemplary Employer
Exemplary Employer Organisations must score 120 points or more to be achieve an Exemplary Employer accreditation.

Badge Usage

Please use your accreditation badge and shout about your accreditation and level, which is a great way to showing your commitment to this agenda. Ways to use include:

  • Email signatures
  • Virtual meeting backdrops
  • Internal comms
  • DE&I section of your external website.

Shout about it!

Communicating your accreditation is a great way to ensure that you are celebrating your success with the whole organisation, and a great way to recognise that work is being committed to with this area of inclusion. Whether it’s within your organisation on externally.

1. Add a story on your intranet or external website

Write about your progress through your communication channels. Include your commitment to this agenda, where progress has made and your plans for the future. Link to your action plan where possible.

To create a more effective announcement, include a quote from your CEO, an exec sponsor or please ask us for a quote.

2. Report on progress

It is useful to include your accreditation and background summary on reporting on progress of your action plan, annual reporting or on HR reports.

3. Utilise LinkedIn and other social media outlets

4. Get in the press

Write a press release.
